Abstract

The main objective of the article is to study the socio-territorial segregation that occurred in Ciudad de Mexico from 2000
to 2020 because of the implementation of an urban revitalization policy. The work uses two indicators that allow measuring
social-territorial segregation: the average level of education of the population over 25 years of age, and the percentage of
immigrants and emigrants to observe territorial changes in city. With the results obtained in the article, it is contributed to
study the effects of the implementation of an urban policy that stimulates the vertical growth of cities and accounts for the
unexpected effects such as socio-territorial segregation.
