Abstract

Hip Hop as urban art as well as Freestyle have gone through a process of significant international growth, revealing economic
and social dynamics that are highly relevant to studies in the areas of the social sciences, cultural industries, and particularly in
the music industry. To contribute to the construction of a theoretical and methodological path of analysis, in this article we try
to establish, through Bourdieu's field theory, its contextualization, bases, dynamics, actors, and capitals and ramifications that
have made possible the battles between MCs, the professionalization and in some cases the massification of the artists involved.
