Abstract

This paper proposes that socio-environmental conflicts by mining refer to struggles that are woven around the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources that are scarce or nil processed in their places of origin for export. For the study of this conflict is considered that, from the joint of two approaches, territoriality and political subjectivity, it is feasible to apprehend two levels that cross this conflict: the forms of ownership, valuation and domination of the territory that are activated from the scope of the mining process and, in turn, the process by which subjects are politicized and fight against these megaprojects.
