Abstract

The configuration of the fireworks system of production in Tultepec is characterized by limited vertical linkages due to the lack of coordination on the production chain. The performance of the system is determined by weak horizontal linkages that hinder the formation of leaning networks and the transference of knowledge and information among firework workshops. Coordination problems of the Local System of Production are related to the high levels of distrust in the area, which are provoked by the strong family ties that prevent the formation of inter-firm networks and by the unfair competition prevailing in the local market.
