Crime and Space: a Crime Street Research in Downtown Mexico City

Abstract

Spatial analysis and geographic information systems have currently become as support tools for the street crime investigation. This exploratory research is located in a “place” scale, in a downtown area in Mexico City, therefore we were able to recognize specific place factors affecting crime production and reproduction.
