Organización territorial indígena en los altos de Chiapas linajes y procesos sociales

Abstract

The social institution of indigenous lineage handles community processes that sustain one level of territorial organization of Tseltal and Tsotsil population in Los Altos de Chiapas. Are analyzed territory administration processes that this institution operates in relationship to inheritance and patterns of residence which demonstrate the permanence of a cultural matrix of Mesoamerican Mayans. From there, pre-Hispanic people have adapted external elements, which have implicated processes of deconstruction and reconstruction enabling social and cultural reproduction
