Planeación urbana y medio ambiente los cinturones verdes

Abstract

The essay presents an analysis of two green belts namely the so-called Groene Hart in Holland and the Greenbelt in the area of Ontario, Canada. The binomial planning-environment works as a reference to show the validity and innovation of green belts to combat urban sprawl and create local food security, control pollution of water and soil and environmental risk mitigation in urban areas.
