Abstract

The concept of historical urban landscape has proven to be a flexible instrument for the studies related to the conservation
of historic sites, since it allows an integral analysis of the material and immaterial components which are implicit in the
management and conservation of cultural heritage. The review of theoretical and methodological antecedents, analogous
cases and interviews with experts in the topic have constituted the methodological structure of this study, whose objective
is the review and application of this instrument in a Mexican case, enabling a comprehensive reading of the Historic Center
of Morelia, Michoacán.
