Abstract

The mobilization of November 20, 2014 in Mexico City shaped an ephemeral social space structured by the systemic relationship between various objects and the actions of the participants. This indissoluble interaction shaped a spatiality which vanished in the course of a few hours, a spatiality where the objects of technology predominated over artisan objects. Through these objects, the social actors appropriated the public space and shaped a political mobilization against the state. It was an ephemeral space that can be seen as a performance where emotions such as indignation, anger, pain and the demand of justice, were reflected in the blankets and posters. The messages and slogans of the participating social groups also shaped the spatiality of the protest.
