Abstract

Because of their inner characteristics, both border films and road movies are genres profoundly related to the configuration of space as part of their narrative. In both cases, characters undergo transformations because of what happens on the road and cartography plays a fundamental role in the development of these texts. The fusion of these two genres has produced interesting films, of different nuances, which define spatiality from audiovisual discourse and its specific traits.
